How do I sign up for a Membership?
Our friendly and approachable Front Desk staff can help you decide which membership is right for you by having the opportunity to explain in detail what our Memberships include. They can give you a tour of the facility and show you more in detail of what we offer.

What hours of operation is your Membership Team available?
Our Fitness Centre Reception is available to go over Membership info for you Monday thru Thursday 5:30am to 9:00pm, Friday 5:30am to 8:00pm, Saturdays 7:00am - 5:00pm and Sundays 7:00am - 8:00pm.

What length of Memberships do you offer?
We offer a variety of Memberships to fit a variety of needs. We offer 3 month and annual term Memberships. By signing up for a longer term you save more $$$!

What is included in a Membership?
We offer a variety of Memberships to fit a variety of needs. We offer the following types of Memberships:

Three Month Flex Membership – This Membership is for a 3 month term and allows you to try out the facility before making the long term commitment. Once the 3 months are up, you are given the opportunity to switch to an annual Membership with the time and money you spent transferred to the new Membership. A Flex Membership includes access to the Co-Ed Fitness Centre, Group Exercise classes, Swimming, Skating, and 6 - 45 minute personalized sessions with a certified trainer. There are no Program Discounts with this Membership.

Lifestyle Plus Membership - This membership is an annual term and it includes access to the Co-Ed Fitness Centre, Group Exercise, Cycle Zone classes, Swimming, Skating, 6 - 45 minute personalized sessions with a certified trainer, free access to some fitness and wellness registered programs, and access to our member only times in the Training and Cycle Zones.

Lifestyle Plus Family Membership - Everything that a Lifestyle Plus Membership includes but is for families of 2 Adults (spouse or partner) and up to 3 Children (under the age of 21) all living in the same household.

Pool Memberships – Our pool memberships include just that….the pool! They come in 3 month swim pass, annual, and 2 year terms. Pool Members receive program discounts on Aquatic Programs only.

Do I have to pay my Membership in full?
No, we have payment plan options if you are unable to pay your Membership in full. You can pay in full or monthly.

What is the Stadium SMART Sessions? And is it included in your Memberships?
The Stadium SMART Sessions is exclusive to the Sackville Sports Stadium and is included in all of our Memberships except for the Pool only ones. It is a $300 value program that is included in all memberships and personalized to you. Whether you are a beginner to the Fitness Centre or have lots of experience - this program is for you! The program was developed to help you get the most out of your membership. Our highly trained Certified Trainers will give you:

  • 6 weekly, 45 minute personalized sessions with a highly qualified trainer.
  • Establish healthy exercise habits that fit into your lifestyle.
  • Improved confidence in and out of the gym.

Do I get discounts on Stadium Programs if I am a Member?
Yes! Lifestyle Members receive 15% off some registered programs and Lifestyle Plus Member receive free access to some fitness and wellness registered programs.

What is considered a Family Membership?
A family is defined as 2 Adults (spouse or partner) and up to 3 Children (under the age of 21) all living in the same household.

How old do you have to be to become a Member?
You must be 16 years of age or older to purchase a day pass. Those under 16 must obtain parental or guardian permission. You must be 19 years or older to purchase a term Membership. Those under 19 must obtain parental or guardian permission.

Do you offer any corporate discounts?

Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) employees receive a 25% discount on their annual membership. They must show a pay stub or an employee ID to qualify. HRM PAYROLL DEDUCTION Employees of HRM can pay for their membership directly through payroll deduction. This applies to annual (12 month) memberships only.

Can I place my Membership on hold?
For your convenience the Stadium makes it possible for you to put your annual membership on hold. Client may put their membership on hold for minimum 2 weeks and maximum 8 weeks, 2 times during the term of the membership. Client must complete a Membership Hold Application. Time will be added onto the end of the membership when hold period is over. Membership payments are collected during the hold period. Time on hold is non-refundable. 2 year plans will have their hold time added to the second year.

I have other Family Members on my Membership, can I place just myself on hold?
No, everyone on the Membership must all be placed on hold.

I need to change my banking information, what is the process?
Please come in and visit with one of our Membership Coordinators and they would be more than happy to assist you in filling out the required form.

I am not using my Membership, can I cancel it?
The Membership Agreement may be cancelled by giving us 30 days written notice. Please note that any payments scheduled during those 30 days will still be processed. You must come in and complete the Sackville Sports Stadium Resignation Request Form. Membership cancellation requests will not be authorized if the member’s membership dues payments or any or all portions of their membership fee or dues are in arrears. Cancellation requests received later than 30 days prior to the next monthly dues payment date will take effect the next calendar month. We do not accept cancellations by voice mail or e-mail.

There are no refunds on 3 month memberships.

I am moving, can I cancel my Membership with no penalty?
The Membership Agreement may be cancelled by giving us 30 days written notice. Please note that any payments scheduled during those 30 days will still be processed. You must come in and complete the Sackville Sports Stadium Resignation Request Form. Membership cancellation requests will not be authorized if the member’s membership dues payments or any or all portions of their membership fee or dues are in arrears. Cancellation requests received later than 30 days prior to the next monthly dues payment date will take effect the next calendar month. We do not accept cancellations by voice mail or e-mail.

I need to cancel due to medical reasons. Can I cancel with no penalty?
The Membership Agreement may be cancelled by giving us 30 days written notice. Membership cancellation requests will not be authorized if the member’s membership dues payments or any or all portions of their membership fee or dues are in arrears. I am not using my Membership often, can I transfer my Membership?
We can only transfer a membership between family members of the same family, in the same household and this can only be done if you are still under the initial terms of your agreement.

I currently have a Membership; can I add someone onto it?
Absolutely! Please come in to speak with one of our Front Desk Receptionists to fill out the form and to learn of any extra costs associated with adding onto the Membership.

I currently have a Membership with another Family Member; can I remove him / her?
Yes you can downgrade your membership. Please come in to speak with one of our Front Desk Receptionists to fill out the required form. There is a $35 admin fee applied for downgrading your membership.

When does the Membership Agreement start?
You have an agreement with us once you have signed the agreement and we have accepted it. If for any reason there was a miscalculation in your Membership Agreement, we have 5 business days after the agreement has been signed to correct it.

Can I change my mind after signing the Membership Agreement?
You can cancel your agreement during your comfort guarantee period. You have 5 business days from the date you sign your initial agreement . This is only applicable for new membership agreements.
